Committees help organize ongoing areas of MECh life. Some support ritual programming; others focus on education, culture, or community care. Most are led by members and develop according to interest and need. Being on a committee is FUN! It's an intimate way of connecting with people in the community and a meaningful way to share ideas and co-create.

Committees are usually formed by members who want to take responsibility for a particular area of programming or community life. They work collaboratively and often include both volunteers and staff support. Each year we assemble a Passover and High Holiday Committee, and we are hoping to assemble a Young Families Committee and a Community Cultural Programming Committee very soon. New committees often begin when a small group of people identify something they would like to build together. If there is an idea you want to explore, or a need you think the Chavurah could meet, get in touch. New initiatives often begin small.
