The Yiddish Committee helps keep Yiddish language and culture present in the life of the Chavurah. 

Throughout the year, community members organize Yiddish zingerays (singalongs), conversation gatherings, and informal opportunities to hear and speak a little mameloshn. Some of these take place through MECh, and others happen nearby in collaboration with partners such as KlezKanada and related local initiatives.

No prior knowledge of Yiddish is needed to take part. These gatherings are open to anyone curious to listen, sing, or practice together, whether for the first time or after many years.
