J.E.D.I. Team
Netta Rotstein

Netta Rotstein is a founding member of Mile End Chavurah. She has taught with JEDI for over five years. She is our education leader, and is helping to shape JEDI into a more engaging and meaningful program. She will be overseeing Hebrew and Judaic education for the JEDI program this year. We are very lucky to have her on our team!
Rebecca Hamilton

Rebecca Hamilton is coordinating logistics for JEDI this year, following two years of teaching in the grade 5-6 and B Mitzvah classes. Outside of JEDI, Rebecca studies history and economics at McGill and is active in organizations working for housing, economic, and ecological justice.
Stephen Ross

Stephen Ross is a professor of English literature at Concordia University and helps out with JEDI teaching and curriculum. His son Ari is in the grade 1-2 program.
Nadja Finkel (she/her)

This is Nadja Finkel’s first year teaching at Mile End Chavurah, delightedly co-teaching the grade 1-2 class. Having been involved in Jewish/Hebrew education since 2019, she can’t wait to bring her background to the JEDI program. When not teaching in JEDI, Nadja is a full time student at McGill, studying neuroscience, and can be found culturing brain cells in the lab or hunting for Montreal’s best Dirty Chai.
Liad Wolch

Hi, my name is Liad Wolch! Originally from Edmonton, AB, I am now an undergraduate student at McGill University. My experience working with children includes summer camp-counseling at Camp Miriam in B.C., tutoring elementary school math and English, and offering beginner piano lessons. I am incredibly excited to join the MECh community as part of the JEDI team!
Michal Aloni

Michal Aloni is an opera artist, originally from Tel Aviv and now based in Montreal. She is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Stage Directing at McGill University while continuing an active career as a singer across Canada. At JEDI, Michal is excited to be the Hebrew teacher to the Grade 1–2 class and brings over 15 years of experience as a Hebrew educator—a role she loves as much as performing.
